# i know what you’re thinking # draco malfoy is also a malicious and prejudiced dickbag but i stan him # the difference for me is that draco is a kid who’s had nastiness and hate drilled into him since birth and been forced to take up responsibility for things way beyond his years and the books stop just as he’s getting mature enough to start realizing where he stands whereas snape is a grown-ass man whose had plenty of time to grow out of that shit and he’s still kicking an orphan around just because he can’t get over his grudge against james or his feelings for lily # i know he fought for the ~light side~ and all that but i honestly don’t think he was ever motivated by more than his obsession with lily and atoning for her death # in my humble opinion # i’m sorry i know a lot of you are snape stans i’m just not feelin’ it
